A Maltese telecommunications company sued a Swedish tech firm for unpaid invoices under a telecoms services agreement signed in 2019. The court awarded over €443,000.

In April 2019, 42 Telecom Limited (a Maltese company) entered into a telecommunications services agreement with Symplify Technologies AB, a company registered in Sweden. Under this agreement, 42 Telecom provided telecoms services to Symplify over a period of time. Symplify failed to pay for the services provided, accumulating a substantial debt. 42 Telecom brought proceedings in the Maltese Civil Court to recover the outstanding amounts. The court found in favour of 42 Telecom and ordered Symplify Technologies to pay €443,118.70 together with legal interest from the date of judgment until actual payment, and all legal costs.
Plaintiff won. Symplify Technologies AB ordered to pay €443,118.70 plus legal interest from judgment date and all legal costs.
